Habitation Jouissant Hotel

This hotel is a little small, but no worries, they are currently and halfway complete with rebuilding, and adding triple the number of rooms. I was a little sad to see that they partnered with the Marriott because the vibe is just perfect from the hustle and bustle of large chain restaurants, which may change that. This hotel was very peaceful and you almost felt at home. The staff was nice, and THAT GABRIEL (employee) kept us entertained.  We also met one of the owners who was also nice and humble. She blended right on in with the visitors like an average person just hanging around and enjoying the scenery.  This hotel has an awesome view and is close to the ocean.  There are restaurants and shops within walking distance. I’m sad to see this place “grow” away, but excited to see what this new hotel will bring to Haiti’s economy and tourism.  I believe the hotel will be open until 2019, which is when the new one is supposed to open.  In between that time, try this hotel out. It’s nice, clean, laid back, and safe.
